Try hockey for free

The USA Hockey Try Hockey for Free program is an initiative designed to give children a fun and cost-free opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey. Hosted at local rinks nationwide, the program provides kids with the necessary equipment and instruction to try the sport in a safe and supportive environment. It’s a perfect way for families to see if hockey is the right fit for their child without any financial commitment. This event is part of USA Hockey's efforts to grow the sport and introduce more young players to the game. GAHA is fortunate to partner with David McCarthy Arena to host this event annually.
