Beginner Hockey

Our beginner hockey program is designed to introduce young players to the fundamentals of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is completely new to hockey or has some basic experience, this program provides the perfect opportunity for them to develop essential skills while fostering a love for the sport for anyone ages 4 and up.

  • Session II: Begins the first Saturday after New Years Day (15 sessions)
  • Both Sessions

All beginners ages 4 and up are welcome!

Participants will need to provide a birth certificate and a registration through USA Hockey.

Membership to USA Hockey is available on the USA Hockey Site. Click 'Register Now' and follow the prompts. This number will be required to complete the
registration online for GAHA

As new parents to hockey, please consider checking out the resources provided. The link to the USA Hockey Parent Guidebook is a wonderful resource to get an introduction to youth hockey.

Learning the equipment needs and dressing procedures can be tricky. Coaches will be available to help, but we've created

this resource document to prepare you in advance.

COACHING VOLUNTEERS

If there are any parents that would be interested in helping to coach, please contact Marcia. You will need to register with USA Hockey and GAHA as a volunteer. All volunteers will be required to undergo a background check and complete Safesport training. Marcia will provide the application to complete as well.
